The speed is the point: it gets a small group to the offshore structure quickly, so more of a short trip is spent fishing. What it does not have is shelter. There is no cabin and limited shade, so a long day in a chop is an exposed one, and six anglers is a full deck. Bout Time fishes two ways. Nearshore and in Pensacola Bay it runs light tackle trips out to about 9 miles, and offshore, 10 miles and beyond, it targets the bottom: red snapper in season, vermilion snapper year round, red grouper, triggerfish, and amberjack when open.
