Most of the St Augustine fleet runs out of the marinas near the inlet, the Camachee Cove and Conch House marinas and Cat’s Paw Marina among them. For a small group that wants a private boat and a named captain, the six packs are the heart of the field: MisStress for the deepest record, Rod Bender for a newer boat with a wide menu, and Game On for two experienced captains. Match the trip length to the target, because the bluewater pelagics and the better bottom are what the long trips reach, and the closer ground suits a half day.
