Crackerjack Sportfishing Charters is one of the longest running and most decorated charter operations in Seward, fishing the bay since 1994. The boats
Crackerjack runs three boats, and the spread is the appeal. The Crackerjack is a six anglers boat, the closer, more personal trip. The Voyager takes up to 14, the boat for a bigger group or a shared day. The Graylight is a 31 foot boat that also fishes six. All are described as modern, well kept saltwater boats with good electronics and the gear aboard, fitted with Seeker rods, Avet and Penn reels, and quality terminal tackle. The fishing and what you target
Crackerjack fishes the full Seward season across a wider range than most, working Resurrection Bay, the Gulf of Alaska, and out toward Montague Island on the longer runs. Pacific halibut is the mainstay from spring into September, king salmon run into the bay from late May into July, and silver salmon take over for July and August. Lingcod and rockfish fill the box, often on a combo day. The record of line class world records is the operation’s calling card, evidence it knows where the bigger fish hold. Trips and prices
Crackerjack posts a full price grid, set per person for the shared trips with private rates by boat. Early in the season, May 2 to June 3, a full day for salmon or halibut is $375 per person. From June 4 to September 15 a full day for halibut, salmon, or combo is $465, and the three quarter day fishing and sightseeing trip is $435. To book the whole boat, the six anglers Crackerjack is $2,250 to $2,750 by season, and the larger Voyager starts at $4,250 for a group of 10 with each extra angler added on.
